Red Raiders to Play Sterling on Friday

With a barrage of 3s and five players registering double-figures, Northwestern (Iowa) rolled to a 100-47 win against Indiana Northwest in first-round action at the 19th Annual State Farm-NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship at the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena on Thursday. The Red Raiders became the first team to reach the century mark in this year's event and did so for the fifth time during their season.

Northwestern improves its season mark to 27-5 and is now 9-0 all-time in first-round games at the national championship. Up next for the Red Raiders is a 1:45 p.m. date on Friday against Sterling (Kan.). Indiana Northwest's first trip to Sioux City comes to a close and the Wildcats finish with a record of 22-11.
