![]() USF Advances in Point Lookout The University of Sioux Falls (S.D.) used a late 8-0 rally to force overtime and then went on to defeat #16 Grand View (Iowa) 69-65 in the first game of the 2010 NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship. The 2010 event is being held at the Keeter Gymnasium on the campus of College of the Ozarks (Mo.).
Trailing 53-44 with under three minutes to go in regulation, USF forward Kelly Hubbard scored five straight points to cut the lead to four. After a Vikings turnover, USF guard Matt Malloy nailed a three-pointer, the first of the game for the Cougars, to make it a one point game. The teams exchanged baskets and with Grand View leading by one, Vikings guard Grant Burns converted 1-of-2 free throws to lead 56-54 with 20 seconds left. USF, however, tied the game off another basket by Malloy and Grand View came up empty on two attempts to win it regulation. |
