2010 GPAC Indoor Track and Field Championships Heat Sheets

The 2010 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships are set for this weekend in Crete and Lincoln, Nebraska. 2010 marks the first year that the league will offer multi-events as part of the GPAC Championships.

The women's pentathlon and men's heptathlon will take place on Friday at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska at Fuhrer Fieldhouse. The women's pentathlon will be contested all in one day on Friday, while the men's heptathlon will start on Friday at Doane and conclude on Saturday morning at the Devaney Center on the Nebraska Campus in Lincoln. Friday's multi-events start at 1PM, with Saturday beginning at 9AM.

The general GPAC Championships will begin at 11AM with the field events on Saturday and the running events will start at NOON on Saturday at the Devaney Center. The complete schedule of events is located here: Schedule of Events

Doane College is the defending champion on both the women's and men's side of the conference. The Doane women have won 19 straight conference titles dating back to the Nebraska-Iowa Conference. Their streak began in 1991. The Doane men have won the last three championships staring in 2007. Prior to that Nebraska Wesleyan won five in a row. Doane won the first GPAC indoor title in 2001.
