Julia DeKoekkoek, Forward - Dordt
Dordt forward Julia DeKoekkoek is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Week. DeKoekkoek, a junior from Edmonds, Washington, averaged 25 points a game as the Lady Defenders went 1-1 on the week. In an overtime 79-76 loss to then #4 Briar Cliff she poured in 30 points and came back with 20 on Saturday in a 62-52 win at Midland Lutheran. For the week she was 16-26 from the floor (62%) and made 14-15 free throws. Dordt is 15-12 on the season.
