![]() USF Quarterback Lorenzo Brown At the 2009 NAIA National Football Banquet of Champions tonight in Rome, Georgia, University of Sioux Falls Quarterback Lorenzo Brown was named the Rawlings/NAIA National Football Player-of-the-Year.
Brown becomes the third USF football player since 2000 to win the award. Nick Kortan won the award in 2002 and Chad Cavender claimed the honor in 2007. Brown was the 2009 GPAC Offensive Player-of-the-Year and the Offensive MVP of the 2008 Championship Game.
Top ranked and 14-0 Sioux Falls will square off against 3rd ranked and 13-0 Lindenwood in the NAIA Championship Game on Saturday at 11AM (Central). The game will be broadcast live on CBS College Sports.
