The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's basketball player-of-the-week for December 7 -December 13, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2009-2010 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
 
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Week
Michelle Amundson, Guard - Mount Marty
 
Mount Marty guard Michelle Amundson is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Week. Amundson, a senior from Dell Rapids, South Dakota, scored 21 points on Saturday as then 8th ranked Mount Marty defeated #18 Morningside 75-73 in Sioux City, Iowa. She made a steal and converted a layup with five seconds remaining to improve the Lancer women to 11-1 on the season. In the new NAIA poll this week Mount Marty moved up one spot to #7. The #7 ranking is the highest ever for a Mount Marty women's basketball team. Amundson now has over 1300 points for her career (1,315).
