Women's Offense- Jessica Carlton, Hastings (Forward)
Hastings forward Jessica Carlton is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Carlton, a sophomore from Papillion, Nebraska, scored the lone goal in the 98th minute in the GPAC Tournament Quarterfinals as the Broncos defeated Sioux Falls 1-0. The Broncos concluded their season today in the GPAC Semifinals with a 3-1 loss at number one seed Dakota Wesleyan. Hastings ended the season at 13-4-3.
Women's Defense- Sarah Weidler, Dakota Wesleyan (Defender)
Dakota Wesleyan defender Sarah Weidler is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Wiedler, a sophomore from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, helped lead the Tiger defense to a 1-0 win over Concordia in the quarterfinals of the GPAC Tournament last Thursday. The win kept the Tigers undefeated on the season. Dakota Wesleyan is now 17-0-3 after a 3-1 semifinal win today (Tuesday) against Hastings. The Tigers will host Midland Lutheran on Saturday, November 14, in the GPAC Championship Match at 1 PM. Both teams have earned berths in the NAIA National Women's Soccer Tournament and which begins on Saturday, November 21, at host sites around the country.
