GPAC Women's Soccer Tournament Top seeded Dakota Wesleyan and second seed Midland Lutheran each posted semifinal wins on Tuesday in the 2009 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Soccer Tournament. The Tigers defeated four seed Hastings 3-1, while the Warriors won over number three seed Dordt 2-1 in double overtime. With the wins both teams have secured NAIA National Tournament berths because Dakota Wesleyan secured the first bid by winning the conference regular season. The GPAC is allotted two automatic berths because of the 12 NAIA teams in the conference.
The NAIA National Women's Soccer Tournament Opening Round will be played on Saturday, November 21. The opening round will feature 32 teams. Sixteen teams will advance to the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Final Site in Decatur, Alabama, November 30-December 5, 2009. 2009 Great Plains Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Postseason Tournament
