Women's Soccer Honors
The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's soccer players-of-the-week for October 26 -November 1, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2009-2010 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week
Women's Offense- Jesse Herse, Hastings (Midfielder)
  Hastings midfielder Jesse Herse is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Herse, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska, netted a hat trick in the Broncos season finale win over Morningside 7-1. The Broncos are 12-3-3 on the season and ended the GPAC season at 7-2-3. Hastings will host Sioux Falls on Thursday in GPAC quarterfinal round play at 7PM.

Women's Defense- Genevieve Gregory, Sioux Falls (Defender)
  Sioux Falls defender Genevieve Gregory is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Gregory, a sophomore from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, led the Cougar defense to a pair of 1-0 wins on the week over Northwestern and Concordia. The Cougars held the Red Raiders to six shots and the Bulldogs to five shots on goal. Sioux Falls is now 10-7-1 and will be the five seed in the conference tournament on Thursday and will travel to four seed Hastings.
