GPAC Women's Soccer Tournament The quarterfinal round of the 2009 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Women's Soccer Tournament was played on Thursday, November 5. Top seeded Dakota Wesleyan defeated eight seed Concordia 1-0 in Mitchell, South Dakota. The Tigers will now host fourth seed Hastings next Tuesday in a semifinal at 1PM. The fifth seeded Broncos won at home over five seed Sioux Falls 1-0 in overtime. On the other side of the bracket second seeded Midland Lutheran defeated number seven Dana in Fremont, Nebraska, 3-0. The Warriors will host three seed Dordt on Tuesday in the other semifinal. The Lady Defenders defeated six seed Doane 4-1 in Sioux Center, Iowa, in quarterfinal action.
The winner of the GPAC Tournament will advance, as the league's second representative, to the NAIA National Women's Soccer National Championship Opening Round. The GPAC is allotted two automatic berths because of the 12 NAIA teams in the conference.
