GPAC Cross Country Honors
The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following runners-of-the-week in cross country for October 12 -October 18, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2009-2010 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week
Women - Jena Schwalenberg, Concordia
 
Concordia's Jena Schwalenberg is the week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Schwalenberg, a freshman from Columbus, Nebraska, finished first in the Hastings Invite with a time of 18:43 on Saturday. The Bulldog women, ranked 9th in the NAIA, won the meet which consisted of 72 runners.

Men - Dana Schmidt, Concordia
 
Concordia's Dana Schmidt is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Schmidt, a sophomore from Grundy Center, Iowa, placed third on Saturday in the Hastings Invite with a time of 25:41. He was one of five Bulldog runners to place in the Top-Five in the 81 runner meet. Concordia is ranked 4th in the latest NAIA poll.
