![]() Week #7 Women's Soccer Honors The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's soccer players-of-the-week for October 12 -October 18, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2009-2010 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week
Women's Offense- Ellie Peterson, Dakota Wesleyan- Midfielder Dakota Wesleyan midfielder Ellie Peterson is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Peterson, a junior from Fort Collins, Colorado, scored a pair of goals on the week as the Tigers went 2-0 to remain undefeated on the season. For the season she has 20 points on eight goals and four assists. The Tigers are 11-0-3 this season and lead the GPAC standings with 22 points. Women's Defense- Danielle Richardson, Dakota Wesleyan- Keeper
Dakota Wesleyan keeper Danielle Richardson is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Richardson, a junior from Wichita, Kansas, posted two shutouts in net as the Tigers remained undefeated on the season at 11-0-3. For the week she had nine saves in 140 minutes of action. On the season she has eight shutouts, .37 GAA, and a .947 save percentage. The Tigers are 7-0-1 in the GPAC and have 22 points to top the standings.
