The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following runners-of-the-week in cross country for September 28 -October 4, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2009-2010 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Women - Kara Nelson, Morningside
  Morningside's Kara Nelson is the week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Nelson, a junior from Cherokee, Iowa, placed second in the Grand View Viking Invite last Friday with a time of 18:55. The Morningside women won the team title in Des Moines, Iowa.

Men - Taylor Chapman, Morningside
  Morningside's Taylor Chapman is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Chapman, a freshman from Spencer, Iowa, placed second in the Grand View Viking Invite last Friday with a time of 26:49. The Morningside men won the team title in Des Moines, Iowa.
