![]() Briar Cliff's Michaela Carew Leads the GPAC Women's Golf Medalist Race The second of four GPAC Women's Golf Qualifiers will be played on Monday, October 5, in Lincoln, Nebraska. The second 18 holes will be played at the Pioneers Golf Course and will be hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan University.
After the first 18 holes of play defending league champion Dakota Wesleyan is the team leader with a first round total of 320. The University of Sioux Falls sits in second with a 322, while Morningside is third with a 338.
In the medalist race Briar Cliff's Michaela Carew shot a round of 74 (36-38) and is the clubhouse leader. Sioux Falls' Sarah Gilbert is one stroke back at 75 (37-38) and Kelli Baseley from Dakota Wesleyan is third with a 76. Defending medalist Danielle Bellet from Dakota Wesleyan is in a three-way tie for fourth at 77. She is tied with Maggie Achterhof from Northwestern and Heather Love from Dakota Wesleyan.
