The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following runners-of-the-week in cross country for September 14 -September 20, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2009-2010 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week
Women - Jackie Spelts, Nebraska Wesleyan
  Nebraska Wesleyan's Jackie Spelts is the week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Spelts, a senior from Burwell, Nebraska, placed 16^th with a time of 21:48.18 at the Woody Greeno Invite on Saturday in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was the highest GPAC finisher on the day in the 6K race. The Nebraska Wesleyan women placed 5^th in the meet.

 

Men - Zach Meineke, Concordia
  Concordia's Zach Meineke is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Meineke, a senior from Denver, Colorado, placed 7^th with a time of 25.29 at the Woody Greeno Invite in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was the highest GPAC finisher on the day in the 8K race. The Concordia men placed 3^rd and placed ahead of Nebraska and Wichita State.
