On another day of great golf weather the GPAC Men's Golf Qualifier #1 was played today in Orange City, Iowa, at the Landsmeer Golf and Country Club. The meet was hosted by Northwestern College.
After 18 holes of play Morningside and Nebraska Wesleyan are tied for the team lead with scores of 293. Meanwhile, Dakota Wesleyan and Northwestern are tied for third with team scores of 296. Briar Cliff is fifth with a 301.
In the medalist race Nebraska Wesleyan's Kyle Jaacks shot a round of 68 (32-36) and is the clubhouse leader. Jon Tanner from Hastings is second with a 70. There is a four way tie for third between Bill Keane (BCU), Luke Vermeer (NOR), Cam Jacobs (MOR), and Andrew Farrand (DWU). All four golfers shot rounds of 71.
The GPAC Men's 2nd Qualifier will be played on Tuesday, October 6, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at Wilderness Ridge.
