![]() GPAC Week #2 Cross Country Honors The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following runners-of-the-week in cross country for September 7 -September 13, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2009-2010 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week Women - Sarah Kortze, Concordia Concordia's Sarah Kortze is the week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Kortze, a freshman from Rockford, Illinois, was the highest collegiate finisher in the Nike Heartland Pre-Regional Meet hosted by the University of Sioux Falls on Saturday. Her time, in her first collegiate meet, was 19:01 on the 5K course. The Bulldog women won the team title. The top finisher was an unattached runner (Jen Van Otterloo). 97 runners participated in the women's race. Men - Zach Meineke, Concordia Concordia's Zach Meineke is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Meineke, a senior from Denver, Colorado, won the men's race at the Nike Heartland Pre-Regional Meet hosted by the University of Sioux Falls with an 8K time of 25:24. The Bulldog men won the team title. Meineke was the 2008 GPAC Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Year. GPAC Cross Country This Week Saturday, September 19, 2009
