Nebraska Wesleyan's women's and men's tennis teams earned berths in the NAIA National Tennis Championships on Saturday with semifinal and championship wins in the GPAC Tennis Championships held in Fremont, Nebraska, at the Fremont High School tennis courts. The GPAC Tennis Championships were hosted by Midland Lutheran College.

In Saturday morning semifinal action for the women three seed Nebraska Wesleyan defeated second seeded Concordia 5-1, while top seed Sioux Falls defeated fourth seed Hastings by the same 5-1 tally. Both teams were allowed to walk off once a win was secured in the semifinals.

The Prairie Wolves then came back strong in the women's title match and knocked off the Cougars 5-4.

The men's semifinals on Saturday morning saw top seed Sioux Falls avenge an earlier loss during the regular season against fourth Hastings 5-4 and second seed Nebraska Wesleyan defeat three seed Concordia 5-2 (walk off win).

The Nebraska Wesleyan men then came out strong in the championship and posted a 5-2 win over Sioux Falls. NWU and USF shared the regular season title with identical 6-1 records.

Nebraska Wesleyan's teams will now advance to the NAIA National Tennis Championship May 12-16 in Mobile, Alabama, at the Mobile Tennis Center.
