The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for April 13 - April 19, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2008-2009 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Pitcher - Kelly Sladek, Midland Lutheran
Midland Lutheran pitcher Kelly Sladek is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Sladek, a junior from Cordova, Nebraska, posted a 4-0 record on the week with 26 strikeouts. Her ERA was 0.85. The Warriors went 4-1 last week and were 24-13 entering the week.

Player- Stacey Paladino, Hastings College
Hastings College shortstop Stacey Paladino is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week. Paladino, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, hit .444 on the week with a slugging average of 1.000. For the week she was had eight hits, including four doubles and two homeruns. She scored six runs while collecting eight RBI's. Hastings was 27-11 entering the week.
