The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for April 6 - April 12, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2008-2009 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors

Pitcher - Brianne Nutty, Dana College
Dana pitcher Brianne Nutty is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Nutty, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, posted three wins on the week. She struck out 34 and had a 0.70 ERA in 20 innings of work. Dana was 16-10 entering the week.

Player- Sarah Seymour, Dordt College
Dordt College first baseman Sarah Seymour is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week. Seymour, a sophomore from San Diego, California, hit .733 on the week with a slugging average of 1.267. For the week she was 11-15 at the plate with three triples. The Defenders were 13-17 as the week began.
