Tom Murtha Threw a No-Hitter for USF
The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following baseball player and pitcher-of-the-week for April 6 -April 12, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2008-2009 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Baseball Weekly Honors
Pitcher - AJ Clark, Hastings and Tom Murtha, Sioux Falls
 
Hastings College pitcher AJ Clark is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Co-Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Clark, a sophomore from Colorado Springs, Colorado, went 2-0 this week. Clark pitched two complete games on the week on three days rest. For the week he struck out nine batters. The Broncos were 17-27 starting play this week.
  University of Sioux Falls pitcher Tom Murtha is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Co-Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Murtha, a freshman from Parkston, South Dakota, threw a no-hitter against Hastings College on Saturday. In the win he struck out five. Sioux Falls began the week with a 14-16 record.
Player- Anthony Hincy, Doane
  Doane College shortstop Anthony Hincy is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Baseball Player-of-the-Week. Hincy, a freshman from Colorado Springs, Colorado, hit .571 on the week with a slugging average of 1.000. Over six games he hit two homeruns and totaled 12 hits. The Tigers were 13-23 entering the week.
