The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for March 30 -April 5, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2008-2009 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Pitcher - Mindy Schoop, Dana College
Dana pitcher Mindy Schoop is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Schoop, a senior from Johnston, Iowa, posted two wins on the week. She struck out 25 and had a 0.50 ERA in 14 innings of work. Dana was 11-9 entering the week.

Player- Beth Richmond
Dana shortstop Beth Richmond is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week. Richmond, a senior from Chariton, Iowa, hit .556 on the week with a slugging average of .611. For the week she was 10-18 at the plate with four stolen bases. The Vikings were 11-9 as the week began.
