The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for March 23 -March 29, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2008-2009 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Pitcher - Jennifer Liddell, Doane College
Doane pitcher Jennifer Liddell is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Liddell, a sophomore from Las Vegas, Nevada, posted five wins and pitched a no-hitter against Dakota Wesleyan on March 29. She struck out 20 and had a 1.75 ERA in 32 innings of work. Doane was 10-9 entering the week.

Player- Christy Kobza, Doane
Doane right fielder/catcher Christy Kobza is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week. Kobza, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, hit .417 on the week with a slugging average of .708. For the week she was 10-24 at the plate with five extra base hits and 11 RBI's. She was also perfect defensively on 22 attempts, 20 putouts and two assists, as she split time in right field and behind the plate. The Tigers were 10-9 as the week began.
