Softball Honors
The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for March 9 -March 15, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2008-2009 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors

Pitcher - Alysia Wittmaack, Nebraska Wesleyan
Nebraska Wesleyan pitcher Alysia Wittmaack is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Wittmaack, a sophomore from Lincoln, Nebraska, posted five wins on the week as the Prairie Wolves went 5-1 at the University of Dallas Tournament. She struck out 29 and walked none in 21 innings of work. Over five games she allowed just one earned run. Nebraska Wesleyan was 6-4 entering the week.
 

Player- Kendra Klein, Morningside
Morningside third baseman Kendra Klein is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week. Klein, a senior from Remsen, Iowa, hit .625 on the week with a slugging average of .813. For the week she was 10-16 at the plate with seven RBI's. Klein, the 2008 GPAC Player-of-the-Year, added five runs scored and home run to her totals on the week. The Mustangs were 7-8 as the week began.
