![]() GPAC Indoor Track and Field Honors The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's and men's indoor track & field athletes-of-the-week for January 26 - February 1, 2009. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2008-2009 GPAC players-of-the-week and players and coaches-of-the-year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week
Field Events Gretchen Clark, Doane Doane's Gretchen Clark is the field athlete-of-the-week. Clark, a sophomore from Cozad, Nebraska, placed first in the high jump at the Scott Nisely Memorial Classic on Saturday. Her jump was 5-07.25 which is the second best mark in the NAIA this season. Charity Miles, Northwestern Northwestern's Charity Miles is the track athlete-of-the-week. Miles, a sophomore from Milford, Iowa, placed first in the 3000 meters at the Buena Vista Open on Saturday. Her time was 10:20 and she finished 20 seconds ahead of the field. She has now qualified for NAIA Nationals in the 3K and 5K on the season. Field Events Turner Scholl, Hastings Hastings' Turner Scholl is the field athlete-of-the-week. Scholl, a senior from Nora, Nebraska, placed first in the weight throw at the Scott Nisely Memorial Classic on Saturday. His throw was 58-10.25 and that leads the GPAC and is second in the NAIA. His measurement improved his personal best by more than a foot. He has won the event two weekends in a row. Track Events Indoor Track and Field Meets This Week Friday , February 6
