Field Events
Abby Schlueter, Doane
Doane's Abby Schluter is the field athlete-of-the-week. Schlueter, a senior from Beatrice, Nebraska, placed first in the long and triple jump at the Ward Haylett Invite. Her measurement in the triple jump was 37.01.25, while in the long jump she posted a 17-04.25 mark. Schluter also placed second in the 55 meter hurdles. She was named the Outstanding Female Athlete-of-the-Meet.
Track Events
Scottie Shaw, Hastings
Hastings' Scottie Shaw is the track athlete-of-the-week. Shaw, a junior from Hastings, Nebraska, won two events at the Ward Haylett Invite on Saturday in Crete, Nebraska. In the mile she clocked a time of 5:35, while in the 1000 meters she posted a time of 3:15.92. Shaw was an All-Conference performer last year in the 1000 meters.

Field Events
Jared Schuurmans, Doane
Doane's Jared Schuurmans is the field athlete-of-the-week. Schuurmans, a junior from Norfolk, Nebraska, won two events and was named the Outstanding Male Performer at the Ward Haylett Invite at Doane. He won the weight throw with a measurement of 55-09.25 and won the shot put with a throw of 53-10.25.
Track Events
Virgil Mitchell, Doane
Doane's Virgil Mitchell is the track athlete-of-the-week. Mitchell, a sophomore from Omaha, Nerbraska, placed first in the 200 meters and was on a winning 4x400 relay at the Ward Haylett Invite. His time in the 200 was 22.65 and the relay team clocked a 3:29.75. He also posted the fastest 55 meter hurdle time in the NAIA with a clocking of 7.66 in the prelims. He false started in the finals of the event which was won by Midland Lutheran's Eric Risinger with a time of 7.70.
