![]() Final Week for GPAC Men's Soccer Honors The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's soccer players-of-the-week for November 3 - November 9, 2008. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2008-2009 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week
Men's Offense- Nedim Hasanbegovic, Hastings - Midfielder Hastings midfielder Nedim Hasanbegovic is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Hasanbegovic, a senior from Sarajevo, Bosnia, netted a hat trick in a Bronco GPAC Men's Soccer Tournament Quarterfinal win against Dordt. He scored three goals in a seven minute span as the Broncos advanced with a 6-0 win. Hastings is now 16-3 on the season and will host Northwestern on Wednesday night at 7 PM in the semifinal round the GPAC Tournament. Men's Defense- Mark Nave, Hastings - Defender
Hastings defender Mark Nave is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Nave, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, led the Bronco defense in their 6-0 win against Dordt in the GPAC Men's Soccer Tournament Quarterfinals. Nave, the 2008 GPAC Defender-of-the-Year, helped guide a back line that did not allow a shot in the game. The Broncos posted their 9th shutout of the season. Hastings has garnered a NAIA National Tournament berth as the GPAC Regular Season Champion.
