Hastings' Megan Kreifels
The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's soccer players-of-the-week for October 27 -November 2, 2008. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2008-2009 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
 
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week
Women's Offense - Jessica Carlson, Hastings - Forward
  Hastings' forward Jessica Carlson is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Carlson, a freshman from Papillion, Nebraska, netted a pair of goals in the Broncos win over Dana and helped lead Hastings to a 2-0 week. For the season Carlson has totaled seven goals. Hastings ended the regular season at 12-4-1.

Women's Defense - Megan Kreifels, Hastings - Keeper
  Hastings' keeper Megan Kreifels is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Kreifels, a sophomore from Lincoln, Nebraska, totaled two shut outs in goals as Hastings went 2-0 on the week. For the week she pitched 180 shutout minutes and posted seven saves. Hastings secured the number two seed in the GPAC Tournament and ended the season at 12-4-1.
