The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following runners-of-the-week in cross country for October 20 -October 26, 2008. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2008-2009 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week
Women - Jen Kempers, Dordt
  Dordt's Jen Kempers is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Kempers, a senior from Sioux Center, Iowa, placed second in the USD/Mount Marty Graphic Edge Invite with a time of 18:07 on the 5K course. For the season Kempers has four first place finishes, one second, and one third. There were 157 runners in the race.

 

Men - Sufian Kimo, Doane
  Doane's Sufian Kimo is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Kimo, a junior from Norfolk, Nebraska, placed fourth in the NAIA Mid-States Classic with a time of 25:34 on the 8K course. The Doane men placed third in the meet that featured 204 runners.
