The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following runners-of-the-week in cross country for October 13 -October 19, 2008. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2008-2009 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
 
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week
Women - Scottie Shaw, Hastings
  Hastings' Scottie Shaw is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Shaw, a junior from Hastings, Nebraska, placed second in the Hastings Invite with a time of 18:34.1 on the 5K course at the Elks Country Club. Hastings will host the 2008 GPAC Cross Country Championships on the same course on Saturday, November 8.
 
Men - Luka Thor, Concordia
 
Concordia's Luka Thor is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Thor, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, was the medalist in the Hastings Invite with a time of 26:18.5 on the 8K course at the Elks Country Club. Hastings will host the 2008 GPAC Cross Country Championships on the same course on Saturday, November 8.
