Concordia University and Hastings College paced the 2011-2012 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Scholar Teams list, tying each other with 16 teams recognized.

For a team to be considered for the NAIA Scholar Team award, it must have a minimum 3.0 grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade-point average includes all varsity student-athletes certified as eligible.

"I want to congratulate both Concordia and Hastings on this shared honor," said GPAC Commissioner Corey Westra.  "To have two of our member schools lead the NAIA in Scholar-Athletes shows our commitment to Academic Excellence in the GPAC."
