Football - Defensive Player of the Week
Justin Wohlert
Northwestern College
Northwestern College defensive back Justin Wohlert is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Wolhert, a junior from Hartley, Iowa, had three interceptions as Northwestern picked up a 27-21 road win over Concordia. He also had three tackles and two pass break-ups. Wohlert leads the NAIA with nine interceptions on the year, the most by a Red Raider in 20 years.

Men's Soccer - Offensive Player of the Week
Lucas Venegas
Hastings College
Hastings College forward Lucas Venegas is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Venegas, a sophomore from Grand Island, Nebraska, scored two goals and added an assist in a 5-0 upset of NAIA No. 7 Oklahoma Wesleyan in the NAIA Game-of-the-Week. Hastings is 10-2-2 on the season.

Hastings College
For the second straight week Hastings College middle blocker Logan Drueppel is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Player-of-the-Week. Drueppel, a sophomore from Schuyler, Nebraska, was a dominating force in the middle, piling up 19 total blocks on the week (6 solo, 13 assists). She also averaged 1.86 kills per set.

Football - Offensive Player of the Week
Brandon Wegher
Morningside College
Morningside running back Brandon Wegher is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Wegher, a junior from Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, set a Morningside single-game record with 327 yards rushing and helped the Mustangs break their team single-game record with 475 yards rushing. Wegher's four touchdowns raised his season's total to 19 rushing TDs and tied a Morningside single-game record.

Women's Soccer - Offensive Player of the Week
Megan Kruse
Hastings College
Hastings College forward Megan Kruse is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Kruse, a sophomore from Gretna, Nebraska, picked up a hat-trick, netting three goals in a 5-1 win over NCAA Div. II Nebraska-Kearney She also added an assist in the game.

Volleyball - Setter of the Week
Kayla Bartman
Dordt College
For the consecutive week that Dordt College setter Kayla Bartman is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. Bartman, a senior from Sioux Center, Iowa, averaged 12.57 set assists per game last week as Dordt improved to 12-8 on the season. She also added 24 digs and 8 kills as the Defenders went 2-0 on the week.

Men's Golf - Golfer of the Week
Cameron Bargell
Hastings College
Cameron Bargell of Hastings College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week. Bargell, a sophomore, from North Platte, Nebraska, picked up his first collegiate win during the Broncos final fall event firing an even par 72, helping Hastings to the team title. He also claimed third at the Swede Invite, leading the Broncos to a second place finish just behind NAIA No. 20 Bethany.

Football - Special Teams Player of the Week
Tarence Roby
Concordia University
Concordia University return man Tarence Roby is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Special Teams Player-of-the-Week. Roby, a freshman from Rockford, Illinois, ran his first kick return of the day 90 yards for a first-quarter touchdown, tying the game at 7-7. Roby totaled 112 kick return yards on two attempts. He also made four tackles from his cornerback spot. He has two touchdowns on the year. The other was a 45-yard fumble return for a touchdown.

Hastings College keeper Alex Guyer is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Guyer, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, recording nine saves keeping No. 7 Oklahoma Wesleyan off the board in the Broncos upset over the Eagles. He also picked up his ninth shutout of the season.

Northwestern libero Alexis Bart is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defensive Players-of-the-Week. Bart, a senior from Sheldon, Iowa, averaged 4.33 digs a set in a pair of sweeps for Northwestern over Mount Marty and Doane. She also was a perfect 24-for-24 from the service line for the week.

Women's Cross Country - Runner of the Week
Gabi Jenkins
Nebraska Wesleyan University
Gabbi Jenkins of Nebraska Wesleyan is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Jenkins, a junior from Papillion, Nebraska, covered the 6k course at the Tori Neubauer Invite in La Crosse, Wisconsin, with a time of 22:58. She finished in 21st overall among a large field of 453 runners and helped the Prairie Wolves to a 13th place team finish.

Women's Soccer - Defensive Player of the Week
Kalynn Sortino
Briar Cliff University
Briar Cliff University keeper Kalynn Sortino Taylor is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Sortino, a senior from Olathe, Kansas, notched her ninth shutout of the season last week in Briar Cliff's 2-0 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan. The shutout was the team's fourth straight and gave Sortino the new school record in career shutouts with 15 as she racked up six saves in the record-setter.

(Sioux City, Iowa) –Morningside totaled 97 points and is the preseason coaches' selections to win the 2014-2015 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Basketball Championship.  The Mustangs tallied seven first place votes. Concordia and Hastings tied for second with 87 points, each with a pair of first place votes.

(Sioux City, Iowa) – Midland totaled 98 points and eight first place votes and is the preseason coaches' selection to win the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Basketball Championship for 2014-15.  The Warriors posted a 30-6 record last year and finished as NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Runner-up in Point Lookout, Missouri.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Brandon Wegher of Morningside and Justin Wohlert of Northwestern have been named the offensive and defensive NAIA Football National Players of the Week as announced by the national office. The druo was chosen for their performances during the week of Oct. 13 – 19 and were selected out of a pool of conference and independent award winners.
