Morningside Scores 190 Points and Wins GPAC All-Sports Trophy
The 2007-2008 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) sports season is complete and with all 19 conference sports in the books the GPAC All-Sports Trophy has been won by Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa. Morningside, who shared the 2006-2007 title with Nebraska Wesleyan, scored 190 points in winning the trophy. Hastings was second with 179.5 points, while Nebraska Wesleyan placed third with 170.

Luke Vermeer from Northwestern has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Golfer-of-the-year and headlines the 2008 GPAC Men's Golf All-Conference team.

Adam Anderson from Dakota Wesleyan has been honored as the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Golf Coach-of-the-Year.

Dakota Wesleyan won the GPAC Men's Golf Championships on April 21 and 22 in Sioux City, Iowa, at the Green Valley Golf Course.

Northwestern Eliminated in NAIA Region III Baseball Tourney
The fourth and final day at the 2008 NAIA Region III Baseball Tournament in Mayville, North Dakota is complete. The 6-team double-elimination tournament was played at Memorial Field at Mayville State University.  In game one on Saturday Northwestern defeated Jamestown 14-9 to force a second Championship game.  The Jimmies came back to win the NAIA Region III title with a 12-1 win in the second game.

Eighth Seed Dana Wins NAIA Region III Ttile
Eighth seed Dana won all four of their games and claimed the 2008 NAIA Region III Softball Championship in Sioux City, Iowa. The 8-team double elimination tournament was played at the SYA Softball Complex. Viking pitcher Cassie Lager was named the NAIA Region III MVP.
