Zach Cortese
Northwestern College
Northwestern left fielder Zach Cortese is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Baseball Player-of-the-Week. The 6’3 junior out of Laurel, Montana, hit .625 on the week, going 10-for-16 at the plate with three runs scored, one double, three home runs, and six RBI as Northwestern split with NCAA Division II Southwest Minnesota State over the weekend. The Red Raiders are 9-15 overall.

Men's Tennis - Player of The Week
McKay Inman
Hastings College
McKay Inman of Hastings is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Inman, a senior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, knocked off the top NCAA Division II recruit, University of Nebraska-Kearney’s Joey Richards, 6-4, 1-6, 10-7. Inman, a returning second-team All-American, then teamed up with Isaac Mertens to defeat the No. 2 Doubles team in NCAA Division II in Richards and Lucas Garces 8-5.

Heather Ramirez
Doane College
Doane second baseman Heather Ramirez is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week. A sophomore from Covina, California, hit .800 on the week (4-for-5), scoring three runs and driving in three runs. She had an extra base hit and a sacrifice squeeze bunt to score a run as Doane swept Mount Marty to open GPAC play.

Baseball - Pitcher of the Week
Nicholas Schuman
Hastings College
Hastings College pitcher Nicholas Schuman is the GPAC/Hauff-Mid America Sports Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Schuman, a 6’5 junior from Mesa, Arizona, helped the Broncos go 6-2 on the week, throwing two complete games last week in Arizona. He struck out 23 total batters in the pair of win including career high 13 k’s against Dickinson State in seven innings of work. The Broncos are 10-8 on the season.

Men's Golf - Golfer of the Week
Tyler Moore
Midland University
Tyler Moore of Midland is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week. Moore, a senior, from Omaha, Nebraska, picked up his first collegiate win during the Northeast CC Spring Invite. He carded a two-under 70 with five birdies on the day to help the Midland team to a second place overall finish.

Women's Golf - Golfer of the Week
Lauren Fitts
Dakota Wesleyan University
Dakota Wesleyan’s Lauren Fitts is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week. Fitts, a junior, from Brookings, South Dakota topped the field of 42 golfers, taking the individual title with a two round score of 146 at the Heritage Classic. Her two round score was 13 strokes better than the second-place finisher. She carded a 69 in the final round on Sunday, which tied the school 18-hole record, while her 36-hole score also tied the program mark. Both records were set in 2010 by Dani Bellet.

Softball - Pitcher of the Week
Kayla Tindall
Northwestern College
Northwestern pitcher Kayla Tindall is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Tindall, a 5’10 freshman hailing from Akron, Iowa pitched a complete-game, two-hitter in leading Northwestern to a 6-0 win over Nebraska Wesleyan in game two of a doubleheader. Tindall walked two and struck out four while giving up just two singles in recording her second shutout of the season. The freshman helped her cause with a two-run single at the plate.
